The 6th International exhibition "Fireplaces Salon" devoted to fireplaces, stoves and heating systems, took place from April, 10th till April, 13th, 2010, in the Crocus Expo fairgrounds. For a long time already this event is being referred as the most significant exhibition project both in Russia's and the Eastern Europe’s fireplaces industry, demonstrating the brand new innovations and developments of Russian and foreign manufacturers. Summarizing the 2009 work undertaken, the «Swat Kaminkow» magazine from Poland awarded the Russian fair with “The Event of the Year” prize.

Total 2010 visitors' number exceeded 25 500, mostly experts. The organizers declare 10% floor area growth in comparison to 2009.

«As earlier, the «Fireplaces Salon» exhibition amazes with its scale and demonstrates a wide variety of fireplaces and stoves: classical and designer’s, exclusive and art works, with various facings, also heating systems working on both traditional and alternative energy sources», — says Oleg Feoktistov, General Director, World Expo Group.

70 companies from 16 countries such as USA, France, Italy, Austria, the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Greece, Czekh Republic, Hungary, Poland, China and Russia took part in the fair.

For the first time the Russian market welcomed the production and brand new developments from new foreign participants such as “M-Design” from Belgium (fireboxes with two faces), “Kratki.Pl Marek Bal” from Poland (cast iron fireboxes, bio-fireplaces, fireplace accessories), “Nibe Stoves” from Sweden (fireplaces-stoves), “Totem” from France (steel fireboxes with fire resistant brick facing) and “Caminos” from Greece (higher thermal efficiency fireplaces retailer).

Their participation in the show highlights one of the top market trends: consumers more often prefer economic and energy efficient solutions, paying their special attention to an overall performance and output of heating devices and their technical characteristics, giving less priority to design, as it was just several years ago.

2010 fair’s highlight was the first ever Russian fireplace manufacturers’ breakthrough. If previously the Russian participants had represented basically foreign brands, in 2010 the market offer was added with domestic trade marks. As an example, the “Ekokamin” company’s premiere was the launch of “Made in Russia” cast iron fireboxes. The family stonework company “Arto and sons” from the Moscow region presented exclusive author’s fireplaces. Another well-known Russian company – “Meta Group” – included into its exposition the wide range of fireplace facings, fireboxes and stoves, made by newest technologies.

Besides classical wood fireplaces and stoves, electric and gas fireplaces were widely presented at the exhibition. The city apartment owners got their chance to choose a fireplace with a real flame’s perfect imitation.

As part of the exhibition has been held:

TILED STOVES exhibition

HEATING SYSTEMS exhibition

STONE & FORGING exhibition

The ceramics became one more interesting exhibition section. Among numerous exhibitors in the given direction, one of the most interesting booths belonged to the ceramic workshop of the Andreyevsky monastery, specializing on hand-crafted tile manufacturing for modern stoves and architectural monuments.

Barbecue stoves of the Russian and foreign manufacturers were harmoniously merged a country life section exhibited at the simultaneous «HOUSE and the GARDEN. Moscow Garden Show».

As always, the traditional « STOVE-MAKERS SHOW» was an important addition to the fair. Organized by the Moscow guild of stove-makers in co-operation with German stove makers, the show attracted much visitors’ attention. The stove-making industry’s leading experts were both demonstrating the operation of traditional and modern stoves and consulting the visitors on chimney constructing, choosing and mounting a fireplace.

Also the «FIREPLACES SALON»’s high efficiency was supported by specialized  exhibitions, thematically upholding each other: being simultaneously held, «WOODEN HOUSE», «AQUA SALON: Wellness and SPA. Pool and sauna» and «HOUSE and the GARDEN. Moscow Garden Show»were attracting new visitors.

In 2011 «FIREPLACES SALON» will take place from 23 to 26 March in the International exhibition centre «Crocus Expo».
